Since 1974, Pöyry has been involved continuously in Aracruz projects.

Mill A was started up in 1978, Mill B in 1991-92 and Mill C in 2002.

Optimisation and expansion projects were carried out in between of the pulp line projects. The Mill C project was very successful. It reached its design capacity as 30 days' average within 6 months from the start-up bringing the total site capacity up to 2 million tons per year of bleached eucalyptus pulp.
